Another event on my home turf, so hoping to see a few familiar faces in this gathering. For bookings or enquries see What's On.
Kick Start Your Novel covers all the basic building blocks of creating a novel with stimulating exercises to get the creative juices flowing. You will leave this workshop with lots of ideas and ways of charging through writers' block.
The workshop is FREE and you can book via Lithgow Library's website. Look under Events.
This will be such a great weekend in the Blue mountains. In the lead-up to my writing workshop Kick Start Your Novel at Lithgow Library Saturday morning, I'll be in conversation with the staff Rosey Ravelston Books talking about Something Else the evening before.
Rosey Ravelstons has recently moved to Lawson and their new shop is spacious and packed with top quality secondhand books. They've really got the atmosphere right.
Hope top see you there or at the workshop,...

It's quite a privilege when a book club chooses to read your book, so I'm very much looking forward to meeting the Thursday Bookclub at Elevenses and talking about Something Else and doing some book signings! (and did I mention eating Sarah's amazing homemade scones and jam and PROPER cream?? I'm also very partial to a pot of her hearts-a-flutter rooibos tea).
See you there on the 31st of August at 5.30pm.
It's always a thrill to see your words in print. This time I have a piece in the newsletter for The Society of Women Writers NSW
After writing a piece called Nobody Knew for In a Womans Voice last year, I found the same woman's voice speaking to me again about her life. I think she's putting her hand up for a full-blown novel LOL
And if you're interested in joining a society of like-minded women writers, check out this website: www.womenwritersnsw.org
At the end of my Victorian road trip I will be coming home via Bowral, and what better way to celebrate the end of my journey with morning tea with a group of reading enthusiasts. I'm very much looking forward to meeting the members of FOWL - Friends of Wingecarribee Libraries.
