I have survived my first round of edits and have returned them to my editor last night. I'm feeling very lucky: it's been a VERY light edit, as these things go. Like other editors, Elizabeth Coldwell's work has focussed on a few main things that have taught me something about my own writing. She has highlighted a few redundant words that I (apparently!) have a propensity towards. And like any good editor, she has picked up remaining spellos and some inconsistencies. It really leaves you feeling like you are in a safe pair of hands when you see these things being picked up. Elizabeth has also proven she is a patient person, answering all my anxious enquiries, with a good sense of humour to go with it. All this and more has made her lovely to work with. Feeling blessed.
