I have finally made good on a long-held wish to create a reading group for people in a nursing home. On New Year's Eve I sent out queries to facilities in my area, describing what I had in mind. By 4pm I had a very enthusiastic response from Glengarry in Mosman.

One of the perks of studying for the Masters of Creative Writing at the University of Technology, Sydney, is the right to submit work for the annual anthology. The UTS Writers' Anthology is launched at the Sydney Writers Festival in May and is gaining in prestige every year. Around 30 stories make it into the final publication.
